Autum has found us walking with some truely brilliant freinds, our sweet chestnut hunt didnt deliver the goods but offered good memories instead. Jam from our prolific raspberry bushes is in pots and stored squirrel like (not in mud) in a dark cupboard! Yum.

''I liked having something to take home every week. We really enjoyed it - thank you very much'' parent on a Grow Grubby course.

''It is so brilliant, the children get so much out of GROW GRUBBY, and the staff have learnt a few things as well!'' Nursery Manager

''GET GROWING''

11th June Talbot Road Allotments will be open to the public with refeshments (mmm!), plants (ah!), activities and top tips. The shop will also be open to everyone (£2 membership). Come and see us between 11-2pm!

May Day Mutiny

1st of May a very windy day!

The weather was challenging, our May Day musical procession to Beat the Bounds was postponed, but we did give away lots of free sunflower seeds to be planted at will by the people of Bristol! Other visitors sowed veggie seeds and talked topical tips. Great food and good folk. Wild Food walk by Andy Hamilton at Arnos Vale Cemetery was very informative too.

GROW GRUBBY in the wonderful Garden Life Show! April 15 & 16 2011. We had springy delights for sale, items for donation, activities to try and ideas to share. All welcomed and loved the mock garden. We challenged people to the friend or foe game, gave out fee spuds with planting advice, helped people to plant seeds to take home and discussed GARDENS - it was great.

26th March Spring Love Food Festival showed grownups how to recognise weed growth patterns, seasonal wildfood to indulge in now, and enabled children (and grownups) to sow seeds of their choice to take home. What a terrific day.

12th March will see a free skill sharing mini- workshop at Talbot Road Allotment site. Come along and smell and pick up different soils, learn about different sowing techniques and find out what to do this month. All welcome 10.30-12noon

GROW GRUBBY was at the Love Food Festival on Valentines Day.

Dreamers took home potatoes to chit, 'a pea for sweet pea' in hand made pots, aphrodisiac carrots and lavendar bags to aid beauty sleep.

Grow Grubby was at  the Christmas LOVEFOOD Festival at Paintworks, Bristol on the 22nd  December 2010

Folk discovered GROWGRUBBY's rejuvenating, detoxicating secrets helping them sail into 2011. There was hands-on gift making; a choice of 'Vitality For All' or 'Sweet Slumber'. Grow Grubby had the answer whether folk wanted to speed up or slow down during the festivities.
